Professional Experience
Systems Designer - Grimlore Games, 2024 - present
As part of a 20 week long internship included in my university curriculum, I help create systems and mechanics for the game Titan Quest II. These range from weapon types and statistics, loot/item drop mechanics, item creation and implementation, designing and assigning abilities to in-game creatures, and more.
Because of my experience as a UI Designer, I also create UI wireframes based on the systems and mechanics I helped create and implement to be used as reference guides for the UI Design and UI Art teams.
My responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Concepting, Brainstorming, Designing and Implementing In-game Mechanics, Systems, Items and more
- User Interface Design
- Working with members from other departments (art, UI, etc.) to create user interfaces that are required by the Systems Design team

Lead Developer and Executive Producer - Project Celeste, 2017 - present
Presently serving as Project Manager and Lead Developer, overseeing development and managing a community of over 60,000 members.
I am responsible for managing the development team for the project, communicating with its community over our different social media (Discord, Forums, etc.), creating promotional media and artwork for upcoming content, and more. Being in this project has given me a unique opportunity to work with a very diverse team of individuals from all over the world who gather on the internet, and it has also had its own unique set of challenges. Communicating with everyone, making sure that they are on the same page, motivating people who might have slowed down and lost interest in their work are all part of what I do. Working on this project has tremendously expanded my work experience, as well as hard and soft skills.
With the project being entirely volunteer-driven, it is up to me to bring everyone together and lead the team. I do this because I love Age of Empires Online and working on it brings me joy like nothing else does.

UI Designer - CaptureAge, 2023 - 2024
As I continue my studies in the Netherlands, I also worked as a UI Designer in a part-time position. As a long-time Age of Empires fan, being able to contribute to Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age of Mythology: Retold was an amazing experience.
My responsibilities included, but were not limited to:
- User Interface Design
- Producing production-ready graphical assets
- Iteration and communication across the team to balance UX goals, domain-specific constraints and tech/implementation constraints
- Everything from standard user input, webstyle forms (e.g. settings menus) to custom visualizations of complex in-game mechanics
